This presentation provides you with an introduction to CAD design using FreeCAD and the preparation of CAD models for 3D printing. Have you ever heard of FreeCAD before? FreeCAD is an open-source CAD software that enables inventors and makers to turn their ideas from a sketch on paper into a finished CAD model. The CAD model is then prepared for 3D printing using an open-source slicer software, which generates the G-code required for 3D printing. Finally, the G-code can be read by a 3D printer, allowing the printer to manufacture the component.
